Two Italian women hostages murdered by AQ

Two Italian women, Simona Pari and Simona Torretta, the first women to be kidnapped in Iraq, have been murdered by terrorists holding them, according to a posting on an internet message board frequented by Al Qaeda.

The group, calling itself the Jihad Organisation, said it had killed the women because Italy had not obeyed its call to withdraw its forces from Iraq.

A group with a similar name, the Islamic Jihad Organisation, said on September 12 that it would kill the hostages in 24 hours if Italian troops did not leave Iraq.

"We in the Jihad Organisation in Iraq announce that God's verdict has been passed on the two Italian prisoners by slaughtering, after the Italian government headed by the vile (Prime Minister Silvio) Berlusconi did not listen to our one condition to withdraw from Iraq," the statement said.

"We warn the Italian government that we will continue to strike, and to strike every foreigner living in Iraq," said the statement, dated September 22.

And Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace? Nope. Can't prove it by me.

I'm beginning to believe that the whole of Islam, not just the perverted terrorist monsters, are the problem. The "moderate" practicioners of Islam are saying very little. They are doing very little. Condemnation comes quietly and seldom.

But let us keep Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) out of the country, and CAIR and every other hand wringer comes outta the woodwork to condemn the nation's actions.

Just damn.

I'm wondering if Jespar has been sanctioned...

Over at winningargument.blogspot.com was the following:

Losing argument: The world is marching towards democracy.

Taking a close look at the Jespars of the world, these folks don’t want democracy - or even liberty - they want everyone to march, lockstep, with their like-minded communist/fascist brothers.

And to them, slaughtering all the non-believers is merely cleaning the house.
What was it that Willy said? Something rotten somewhere?

Michael, there's no question that Islam is the problem. What does the Judeo-Christian world have that is analogous to jihad? A Muslim would say that we are crusaders ---and that justifies their violent reactions. But look at the substance of what a 21st Century "crusader" intends: liberation at a very real and meaningful level. Democratization where there has been no self-rule. And expansion of opportunity ---economic and otherwise.

We Westerners aren't simply mistaking our own perspective for what's right; what we bring to the world is objectively superior. It is undeniably right that women should be educated and free from domestic violence and free to be healthy. All people everywhere should be able to learn from more books than just one. People should be free. Period. If our country didn't always act in accordance with that basic truth, we certainly stand for it now.

But who isn't standing for it now? The anti-war Left and their friends with covered faces and bloody machetes in their hands.

Shameful.

I think Islam is the problem, but I don't agree that muslims on the whole are a problem. The religion is so draconian that anyone who speaks out more than likely will dealt with harshly, and that's says it all, about the religion of submission.
