Internet map of divided nation reaches Germany

The website of Germany's Der Spiegel has posted an image of a divided North American continent that originated on liberal sites in the US in the wake of the reelection of President Bush this week.

Welcome to "Jesusland" -- at least for most of us.

Just damn.

Just damn squared. I wonder where that leaves two of my cousins who voted for Bush, live in "Jesusland" but are athiests? Some people need to get serious grip.

Two things that this map ignores: (1) they have to rope in Canada to make "United States of Canada" a sizeable land mass like "Jesusland"; and (2) there are red states in Canada as well. Western Canada is notoriously conservative. Idiots.

By the way, I live in "United States of Canada" but voted for Bush. In my state, Bush did better than in 2000. In fact, Bush did better in 45 of 50 states than in 2000 - including in Massachusetts. What do liberals have to say about this fact?

Since I'm stuck in NY, does this mean my money was just devalued? Do I have to learn how to say "eh" a lot?

Will it get colder in Ny, once we're part of Canada?

After the strike is over, will we at least get better hockey, 'cause the Rangers & the Islanders are both pretty bad.
