CBS Affiliates upset over Rathergate

Hurricane Ivan hasn't completely shoved Dan Rather and CBS' woes off of the page. This is from National Review's "The Kerry Spot" earlier today:

I am informed that the head of a CBS affiliate in a large East Coast city is telling viewers who call in that he wants Rather to apologize on 60 Minutes and then resign. This local network official reportedly plans to present the flood of critical emails he has been getting to the network heads in New York.
The affiliates drive the network. If enough of 'em demand Rather's head, he'll be gone. And his protestations to the contrary won't be able to help him one bit.

We can only hope. But I have sent my local an polite e-mail. We shall see.

This is the email I sent to 'evening@cbsnews.com' a couple days ago....

Mr Rather,

Thank you for showing your true, asinine self to the entire world by fabricating documents and portraying them as factual. The level of effort you have applied to your personal witchhunt is about the same amount of effort I will, from now on, put into avoiding you on TV and any other media venue.

Thank you for opening my eyes to your true agenda. Reporting the news took to the sidelines many years ago and now you are just attempting to sway us all into believing your personal opinion. Thank you for the genuine attempts at "fair and balanced" reporting. It's been too long since you've been unbiased, if ever.

All the respect I once held for you has gone the way of the dodo.
