Watch PJ, Tom "Broke-Jaw", Aaron "AnchorGod" Brown and Dan "Kenneth" Rather all conveniently ignore the sarin gas in the roadside bomb detonated near American soldiers in Iraq today. I'm sure their lead story will try to stick with the prison photos if they can get away with it.
You can be sure that the left-wing bloggers and DU crowd will try to insist that the sarin was planted by the "eeeeeevil" Bush Administration. The mainstream media will have to settle for trying to look the other way and pretending it didn't happen.
After all, if they don't, it means they've gotta pony up and admit that Saddam had WMD after all. And that won't play into Ketchup Boy's grubby little waffle-stained paws, now, will it?
Posted by mhking at May 17, 2004 11:57 AMThe lead story on the radio news this morning was... not the sarin gas bomb (which was barely mentioned and when it was, it was qualified as "unsure of where it came from")... not the assassination of the leader of the Iraqi governing council... but gay marriages in Massachusetts.
I hate news people. And I studied to be one. :P

I heard Peter Jennings' 2 minute news summary on WABC radio at 5:00 or so. He mentioned the bombing as his third or fourth item saying merely (from memory - not verbatim): "A roadside bomb containing sarin blew up - injuring two American soldiers." His tone of voice was almost dismissive and he never even mentioned that sarin is a chemical agent or WofMfrickin'D.
